Earn High School Credits With The Royal Conservatory of Music Certificate Program

Did you know that you can earn high school credits in all provinces in Canada when you progress through the Royal Conservatory of Music ?!

Grade 11 Credit in Ontario

You will earn a Grade 11university/college music credit towards the OSSD if you complete the following:

  • Level 7 Practical Examination 

  • Level 7 Theory Examination

You can complete these examinations online or in-person on all instruments. 

Grade 12 Credit in Ontario

To earn a Grade 12 University/College music credit towards the Ontario Secondary School Diploma, you must complete the following: 

  • Level 8 Practical Examination

  • Level 8 Theory Examination

You can complete these examinations online or in-person on all instruments.

Theory examinations can be completed in different ways:

1)  online with a self-study guide. 

2) work through the book with a teacher and take the online exam

3) in-person exam

Do you Live in Another Province? 

If you live in another province in Canada, you can also earn high school credits through the RCM certificate program. RCM exams can be taken to earn high school credits in every province in Canada!
